ADT Security Equipment in Pittsburgh
We count doors and windows for this address, then add cameras if you want them. SafeStreets installs. ADT monitors 24/7.
Control panel
The keypad on the wall. Arm and disarm here or in the app. Photograph any leftover panel before you pull it — common on Bethel Park, Mount Lebanon, and Cranberry resales.
Door and window sensors
The core of the system. We count them for your Pittsburgh house, including the garage walk-through and any extra-unit door.
Doorbell camera
See who is on the porch. Useful for packages on Shadyside, Squirrel Hill, Lawrenceville, and Tower Grove South streets.
Indoor camera
Optional. Useful in a package room or a long hall. Monitoring still works if you skip video.
Outdoor camera
Driveway and side-yard coverage. Some Cranberry and Peters Township boards limit what faces the street. Bring the rule.
Smoke detector
Monitored smoke is the Secure+ step. Ask if you want it on this address.
Carbon monoxide
Life-safety add. Same ADT watch. Confirm on the quote.
Water sensor
Basement and utility rooms on south-city brick houses and west-county lots.
Glass-break sensor
For large windows when a contact is not enough — common on Shadyside and Squirrel Hill glass.
Smart lock
Smart-plan add. A lock is not monitoring. ADT watching the door is monitoring.
Thermostat
Optional on Smart+. Not a substitute for 24/7.
ADT app
Arm, disarm, and alerts on your phone. Still works with cellular backup when Wi-Fi drops.
Will the panel still reach ADT if Duquesne Light drops?
Ask about cellular backup on the quote. A professionally installed system can still reach ADT if Duquesne Light or the Wi-Fi drops. The city and most of Allegheny County sit on Duquesne Light. West Penn Power covers some Monroeville lots.
Is a leftover builder keypad already ADT?
Usually not. Builder leftover keypads in Cranberry, Peters Township, and Murrysville plats die with the closing Wi-Fi. Photograph yours. We replace it with a professionally installed, ADT-monitored system — or we turn a real ADT panel back on if that is what is on the wall.
