Pittsburgh ADT FAQs
What it costs, how install works, which city desk your ZIP uses, and what to do with a leftover keypad. Confirm your ZIP on the call.
How do I order ADT for a Pittsburgh house?
Call (412) 991-2600. A specialist designs the system. SafeStreets installs. ADT monitors 24/7. No contact form.
How much is ADT monitoring in Pittsburgh?
Plans start at $53.99/mo for ADT Secure+, then Smart+ $63.99 (most popular), and Complete+ $74.99, with a $99 install on many plans. Ask about the free alarm-system promo ($850 value) on qualifying monitoring*. A new monitoring agreement is required — typically 36 months. Early termination fees apply. Homeowners only.
Does Pittsburgh charge a yearly alarm permit?
Inside the City of Pittsburgh, Chapter 611 is $25 a year for a residential burglar permit. False burglar alarms: first two free, then $50 and up. Other desks confirm from the ZIP — we do not invent a dollar amount.
There is a leftover keypad in my Shadyside resale. Now what?
Photograph it before you pull it off the wall. Many Shadyside, Squirrel Hill, Bethel Park, and Mount Lebanon resales still have a panel. We can often turn ADT back on instead of starting over. Builder leftover keypads are usually not ADT — those get replaced.
Does monitoring work when Duquesne Light is out?
Yes. Ask about cellular backup so the panel still reaches ADT if Duquesne Light or the Wi-Fi is down. The city and most of Allegheny County sit on Duquesne Light. West Penn Power covers some Monroeville lots. Confirm the meter on the quote.
Is this site ADT corporate?
No. SafeStreets is an independent ADT Authorized Provider. SafeStreets sells and installs. ADT provides 24/7 professional monitoring after activation. Home Security Systems Pittsburgh is the local order line.
Can you install before we leave for a weekend at the lake?
We confirm the earliest install window on the call. Coverage here is same-day or next-day when the ZIP qualifies. Weekdays empty a lot of Pittsburgh houses. A Bethel Park drop-off or a commute on I-376 empties the same doors. Promotional offers are for homeowners, not short-term rentals. Say so on the call.
Do you cover Mount Lebanon, Bethel Park, and Monroeville?
Yes, when the ZIP is in coverage. One Pittsburgh number for Mount Lebanon, Bethel Park, Cranberry, Sewickley, Monroeville, Fox Chapel, and Peters Township. Confirm the ZIP on the call. Philadelphia, Harrisburg, Erie, and Scranton are not this line.
