Pittsburgh schools · empty houses after drop-off
Pittsburgh Schools and Districts
Drop-off empties the house. Pickup is hours later. That is when people want ADT watching the doors — not a camera they forget to check from the car line.
The bell is not a patrol
Pittsburgh Public Schools empty in-city two-stories after morning drop-off. Bethel Park, Mount Lebanon, North Allegheny, Fox Chapel Area, Upper St. Clair, Moon Area, Gateway, and Seneca Valley calendars empty those towns until pickup. A Pitt, CMU, or Duquesne class day empties nearby rentals the same way. Promotional offers are for homeowners.
Name the district on the call only so we know when the house is actually alone. We still count doors. We still photograph a leftover keypad. We still name the permit desk from the ZIP. A school name is not a kit.
Arm it at drop-off
A doorbell helps if a box lands at 11 a.m. The door contact still matters if someone tries the handle at 11:05. Indoor sensors plus 24/7 is the core. Video is extra. Ask about cellular backup so the panel still reaches ADT if Duquesne Light drops during a weekday storm.
